The Anchorline Family 

 Hi, we are Tess and Syd and the Anchorline crew. We are really lucky to live in the Far North of Queensland, Australia, in a small coastal town called Port Douglas. 

For five years we owned and ran a fishing charter business which meant spending long days out at sea and in the hot Aussie sun all year round. When it came to finding sun shirts and fishing shirts for our challenging conditions here in Far North Queensland we just couldn't find what we needed. What we did find on the market were fishing shirts that were not made here in Australia for our elements, instead they were all imported from overseas and just weren't made for our conditions or of the quality we were looking for. In addition we found they weren't particularly comfortable, we felt hot wearing them and they just couldn't stand up to the rigors of an adventure lifestyle.

Anchorline Australia was born from our need to kit out the crew on our charter boats. A vision of Tessa's, a busy working mum with a degree in fashion design, a boat skipper's ticket and years of experience in both the boating and garment industry (a rare combination). She wanted to create quality adventure apparel that would protect herself, her team and her family from the sun.

To combat the conditions here, adventure apparel and fishing shirts would have to be lightweight, cool and breathable, offering UPF50 sun protection and be exceptionally comfortable to wear for long hours at a time. 

On a mission, Tessa set about creating our first UPF50 fishing shirts, which were then tried and tested by her husband Syd and the other boat crew working hard in the elements all day long. The crew loved these new shirts so we began selling them to customers on the boats and soon Anchorline Australia was born.

A lot of work has gone into this brand and the qualities it stands for. Here we are, 5 years later, proudly safeguarding people all over the world.
