Men’s Sporting Shirt - Light Blue Polo

Marginally better than most of the competition.

Never bothered reviewing anything online before. Too many reviews gush about how good a product is, whilst also stating that they've only just unboxed it and "can't wait to try it". Or, they load up on negative comments about completely irrelevant issues. Anyway, after having worn this shirt on, at least 10 occasions, in varying conditions and putting it through 2 or 3 wash cycles, I will do my best to provide an honest, unbiased review.
Pre-purchase phone advice - good.
Fit. Size 2x - comfortable, without being too tight.
Did not shrink in the wash.
Quality of manufacture - good.
Colour - pale blue, no fish decals etc. - good.
Collar - longer than most - good. Stays up in a breeze, but not in stronger winds. Could be stiffer.
Side venting is ok, but does not come up, under armpits.
Have worn it around the house - inside and outside. Also, has been my daily 4km walk, go-to shirt, as well as outdoor archery.
Here in Sth Oz, summer days range from 20C to over 40C - dry heat. We live semi-coastal and southerly winds range from 15 km/h - 50 km/h. I've worn the shirt in all of these conditions and can confidently state that it doesn't "breathe" very well. It does marginally better than most of your competitors shirts. But, within a few minutes becomes clammy under the arms and across my back and chest. Even a stiff cool wind, blowing directly into it, doesn't seem to penetrate the material sufficiently to facilitate evaporation. After a 1 hour walk, the inside of the shirt is wet with perspiration and so is my upper body. To be honest, plain ol' cotton seems to be superior to man made fabrics - BUT only for light activity. Once it becomes damp, it can take a long time to dry out and chaffing then becomes a problem. Over the years, I've tried most of the so-called "breathable", man made clothing materials - including Gore-tex. My experience is, that they never really live up to their claims.
Anyway, hope this is of some assistance. It's only my opinion, based on my experience. So, hopefully no-one will respond abusively.
